Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
Bracket Club is a small hobby app. We do not run an ad network, sell user data, or use third-party analytics that fingerprint individuals.
What we collect
- League data: the display names you enter, draft picks, bracket predictions, group results, chat messages, and reactions. Stored on the server hosting the app, keyed by your league's 6-character code.
- Cookies: one cookie (
bc-league) holds your active league code so the app knows which league you're playing in. League hosts also get a private host token cookie (bc-host) that authorizes admin actions. - No emails, no phone numbers, no accounts. We do not require sign-up.
- No tracking. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no advertising cookies, no fingerprinting.
How we use it
- To make the app work: show your league's draft, standings, and chat to invited friends.
- To enforce optional admin actions (PIN-gated edits) and donor unlocks.
Who can see your league data
Anyone with your 6-character league code can join your league and see its data. Treat your code like an invite — only share it with people you trust.
Data deletion
League hosts can reset their league at any time from the Setup page. To request full deletion of a league file, email the maintainer (see footer of /about).
Third-party services
- Ko-fi: if you tip the maintainer, your tip is processed by Ko-fi under their own privacy policy. Bracket Club never sees your payment details.
- Hosting provider: server-side logs may be retained by the hosting provider per their default policies (typically 30-90 days).
Children
Bracket Club is for entertainment. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the app evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page.
Not legal advice. This is a hobby app's good-faith privacy disclosure, not a contract.
